| Endowment means "to enrich." Endowment is
a critical part of the fabric of every university,
particularly a private school which does not rely
on state and federal funding. Endowed scholarships
are also critical to universities, for they provide
funds in perpetuity.
Duquesne University has made scholarships a
priority. For the Tamburitzans, they are a necessity.
To attract talented student performers, we must
offer attractive scholarship awards. Providing
these awards for the entire ensemble (up to 40
performers) requires a sizable endowment. Thousands
of Tamburitzans friends and fans have contributed
over the years to strengthen the Tamburitzans
scholarship program; your support is most welcome
and needed.
Consider the following giving opportunities
to help make a lasting impact on the future of
the Tamburitzans Scholarship Program:
Establish a Tamburitzans Endowed
Scholarship at Duquesne. By creating a scholarship,
you not only assist talented student performers—you
can memorialize a loved one, honor someone special,
or leave your own legacy.
Contribute
to an existing Tamburitzans Endowed Scholarship
Fund. If you are not in a position to
establish an endowment at this time, but still
wish to contribute to the Tamburitzans Scholarship
Program, your contribution can truly make a
big difference.
Contributions
in any amount may be applied to the
Tamburitzans Scholarship Endowment Fund.
This is a general sustaining fund created to benefit
Tamburitzans students.
